Protecting Water Quality through Monitoring, Assessment and Education

This website is administered by Norwest Corporation (Norwest) and contains information regarding the Apishapa Monitoring Program. Norwest is an independent environmental consulting company. Material on this website may not reflect the views or opinions of Pioneer.

Norwest designed‚ installed, and maintains‚ and monitors the gaging stations on the Apishapa River. Each gaging station data logger records data every 15-minutes and data are downloaded every two weeks. The downloaded data are summarized in tables and graphs on this website. These data have not undergone rigorous review to ensure accuracy. Data may be changed after review for various reasons including‚ but not limited to:

  • Backwater from ice or debris such as log jams
  • Algal and aquatic growth in the stream
  • Sediment movement
  • Malfunction of recording equipment

Data users are cautioned to consider carefully the provisional nature of the data before using it for decisions that concern personal or public safety or the conduct of business that involves substantial monetary or operational consequences.
